New Travel Update: Visa Exemption for Singapore Permanent Residents

New Travel Update: Visa Exemption For Singapore Permanent Residents

9 October 2024

Good news for Singapore Permanent Residents (holding Blue IC)!

If you are from a country that is eligible for Indonesia's Visa on Arrival (VOA) programme, you can now visit Batam, Bintan and Tanjung Balai Karimun without the need to apply for Visa on Arrival. Take note that you may stay visa-free for only up to 4 days, counting your day of arrival.

Here are some additional information:

1. Applicable only to Batam, Bintan, and Tanjung Balai Karimun.

2. The 4-day visa-free stay is non-extendable. If you wish to stay longer you MUST apply for a Visa on Arrival at the respective ferry terminal.

3. This exemption is not valid for Singapore PR holders from non-VOA eligible countries.

4. Mandatory: Please bring your physical Blue IC, as the physical card must be shown to the Immigration Officer.

This update is based on Indonesia's Ministerial Decree M.HH-1.GR.01.07 and Presidential Regulation No. 95 of 2024.
For further information, please contact your nearest Indonesian Embassy.
